Good-bye, Paw from Henry and Matt! We enjoyed this elective and hope for its best!
The time has come for us to write our farewell articles to the paw readers (or reader… mr. kremer). We know you have enjoyed reading many quality (and a few not-so-quality) articles as the year has progressed. Anyways, today is the last day writing for the paw so we thought we would say goodbye!
Thanks for reading and us eighth graders will miss you. BYE!!!! FROM; CATHERINE & THE OTHER 8TH GRADERS WHO WERE TOO LAZY TO WRITE ARTICLES
Today, Thursday the 28th, is the last day for electives.
This includes journalism class.
So I am writing to say goodbye because the 8th graders will not be writing again, because we are going to high school.
From the Journalism class,
Goodbye!
-Rachel
Well this is the last Journalism class and were all sooooo sad to say goodbye to our faithful readers. My bad, faithful reader Mr. Kremer. Check back next year for more awesome articles.
VOTE FOR SUSANNAH FOR VICE PRESIDENT OF STUDENT COUNCIL! SHE’S THE WRIGHT CHOICE! SHE HAS EXPERIENCE IN STUDENT COUNCIL AND OTHER LEADERSHIP POSITIONS.
I have high grades and am a member of the National Junior Honor Society. I took the SAT in January and qualified for National Recognition, which means that I got a score of at least 670 in every area of the test. The maximum score for the SAT is a 2400, and it is normally taken after passing through high school. I’m in seventh grade. I’ve actively participated in PSIA for many years, and Science Fair as well.
I think you should vote for me!!!
Last night (Wednesday) was the season finale for American Idol. The two finalists were Adam Lambert of San Diego, California and Kris Allen of Conway, Arkansas. Adam is an amazing vocalist with astonishing range, and Kris, while very flexible, doesn’t really measure up. Adam has been a judge favorite all through the season, and he was a shoe-in for the title.
However, when Danny Gokey (Top 3) was kicked off last week, many of his voters moved to Kris’ side. Many, including myself, thought “Kris vs. Adam… That’s easy.” Because of this, many Adam Lambert fans did not vote. They thought it was a simple thing, that there was no competition.
So, last night, Kris Allen took the title of American Idol.
Don’t get me wrong; Kris is an amazing artist. However, Adam has greater range. No one can really measure up to his talent. American Idol is essentially a talent competition to judge who is the best budding artist in the country. And I’m sorry to say this, but I don’t think that is Kris Allen.
This happened last year with David Archuleta and David Cook, as well. However, I’m hoping that Adam Lambert will get more publicity than David Archuleta. Adam ought to have won, but he was outvoted. Adam has amazing talent, though, and now at least he doesn’t have to suffer the pressure and constraints from American Idol. Now he won’t have “No Boundaries” on his first album (or at least I don’t think he will). He gets to be as free with his art as he wants – and that’s what really matters. He can be creative. He can be free. He can be himself.
Let me see if I can figure out how to embed videos in this thing…
Adam Lambert – Born to be Wild
I posted two of Adam to show how much he varies. Enjoy.

The movie Star Trek, which premiered in April, was recently shared with people who had things in common with the space-life. It was sent to astronauts aboard the space station. The astronaut Michael Barratt saw Star Trek from the Unity module on Friday and recalled watching the original series. He remembered being “inspired by the idea of people from all nations coming together to explore space.”
